Employment Law:
Small Businesses
Employment law can be minefield for small businesses. Being proactive can avoid problems down the road.

Running a small business is difficult. As a business owner, you wear many different hats. You want to retain your best employees and protect the business that you've worked so hard to develop.

Employee issues can arise in a variety of ways. I am here to help you through the process. A proactive employer will take steps to ensure that its employees have a place where they want to work. Good company culture can start with the proper employee policies and procedures. I assist small businesses with developing employee handbooks and policies to help maintain a smooth running business. Importantly, I advise clients on how to properly enforce their policies and procedures and how to address problems with employees as issues arise.

I have advised small businesses regarding the implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures. I have drafted numerous employment related documents, including employee handbooks, non-compete/non-solicit agreements, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements, and employment contracts. I have also advised clients what to do when there is a suspected breach of these agreements.
I litigate on behalf of employers seeking to protect their businesses from improper actions taken by former employees and competitors. Litigation includes seeking injunctive relief to prohibit further violations of employment agreements and seeking monetary damages.
